Teliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s snow bird residence located in Scottsdale, Arizona, served as his home away from home for 22 years. Beginning in 1937, this space served not only as a winter get-away, but a studio and architectural school. Wright’s students experimented, erected, and altered the many buildings located on the large plot of Arizona desert.
Today, the site offers a variety of tours almost everyday. Located on the hauntingly beautiful foothills of the McDowell Mountains, tourists can spend time in both the indoor and outdoor spaces, transporting themselves into Wright’s creative dream world. Details:www.franklloydwright.org/
