My favorite, local watering hole (you know who you are), often features Beachwood beers–a brewery I’ve learned to fondly embrace. So when one of my favorite barkeeps told me that the beer was attached to a BBQ joint, I immediately set out to see if their cured meat was as deliciously prepared as their brew.
With two locations, Long Beach and Seal Beach, the Beachwood offers a sizable beer selection that features their own beers and an impressive guest list (think Russian River). Their menu includes house-made barbecue sauces, slow-smoked brisket, North Carolina-style pulled pork, and the star of the show, a beer and coffee-glazed smoked ham sandwich served with brie and arugula. Accompany your meal with one of their many sides, including skillet-baked cornbread, bleu cheese grits, fried house-made pickles, or creamed spinach and top it off with lip-smacking, iced cold beer.
